We have all heard the common slogan and may have said it before, “I have faith that things will work out.” But, do you really mean that? How do you know? What exactly does this mean to you? Let’s dig a little deeper. How can you confidently say, “I have faith things will work together for good?” We know the scripture,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 NLT
So let’s start here. The scripture reads, all things work together for the good of those who love Him. Do you love God? Not just when things are going good in your life, but when trials and tribulations come? Can you stand with scripture and confidently say, you love Him in the midst of your struggle?
Scripture challenges us to examine our hearts. You see, faith requires works. The book of James says it best, faith without works is dead. “ In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17 NLT
I believe trials and tribulations come our way to test our faith. How you respond is key. Growing an intimate relationship with God by spending time with him, reading scripture and applying what you read to your life is part of the work to strengthen your faith.
So, do you really have faith that things will work together for good?
